In fact, Pearce stuck to the podium since December when he won the first quaterpipe event at the Nokia Air & Style in Munich, Germany.  Kevin kicked off 2008 by edging out the legendary flying tomato to win his first major halpipe event at the Burton European Open (BEO) in Laax, Switzerland.  He got himself a second ring in a row at the Oakley Artic Challenge by ending on the higher step of the podium.  He took first place at the Billabong Air & Style Big Air event in Innsbruck, Austria, placed third at the Toyota Big Air in Sapporo.
